Experience: This module was incredibly different to what I usually work on and brought a lot of learning curves and hurdles for me to overcome. I enjoyed my research topic very much, as It was a topic I had been interested in before and passionate about, yet never found the time to explore this research. This assignment gave me a medium to dive deeper into the industry that I plan to work on in the future, and therefore this knowledge is crucial for me to consider. On the other hand, I found it extremely hard to manage my time with other modules. Written work tends to be one of my weaknesses, as I prefer the flow of creative works, rather than investing time and energy into critical thinking. The concept and idea were there; however, the execution was something I had to improve on. This module taught me how to write research reports, critical reviews, conduct interviews and analyze the data which are important skills to learn as an individual.
Observation: Through observation, I examined that my topic was mostly suitable for an interview process, which I conducted. I felt as though not many people would be able to answer a survey regarding these specific research questions. But though observing interview answeres from professionals, I was able to grasp an understanding of real-life scenarios and the UI UX Additionally, feedback from Mr Azrial guided me directly in the right direction, however, observing others’ work and their feedback helped strengthen my work. I also observed others’ work to understand the structure of the reports and how to submit the e-portfolio in the correct format.
Findings: I found that conducting the interviews early guarantees a timely response. Through time management and working research consistently, I would be able to complete work promptly. I found that feedback was required as part of guideline, as well as to progress further, which I wasn’t actively recording.
