FEEDBACK
Week 1
Specific Feedback: Absent
General Feedback: Make sure to download Adobe Animate for next class. Brainstorm ideas to present to me next class for feedback. you are to create an animated interactive website based on a topic of choice.
Week 2
Specific Feedback: Your ideas feel too generic and are some consist of pre-existing websites. Try to think outside the box with an idea that is not only visually pleasing, but informative to audiences; something people are willing to read about and interact with. Show me more ideas within this week.
General Feedback: Draw object using Adobe Animate. Make sure to get your idea finalized before working on the project proposal.
Week 3
Specific Feedback: Simplify your concept further and focus on only constellations as your main topic, taking only 5 man constellations. Talk about their history, origins, myths, where to find them etc.. Sketch out your visualizations and come up with a dynamic homepage as well as subpages.
General Feedback: Make sure your concept has a clear direction and design. Don't overcomplicate. Focus on content for now, and aesthetic later. Practice Animate to be able to do your final animations for your interactive website.
Week 4
Specific Feedback: Include a visual description of your concept to go with your moodboard. Include one more drawing for your wireframe. Add a flowchart. You can include some of your content on the slides too, doesn't matter if it takes up space.
General Feedback: Include wireframes that tell the story of how your pages will appear, acting somewhat like a storyboard, which you can also add to your proposal. Practice paths for your animation to flow and make sure your points match up with the guides created.
REFLECTIONS
Experience: Task 1 was very research based. Classes were extremely helpful when getting feedback from Mr Shamsul. I enjoyed researching multiple topics for Mr Shamsul to choose from. I preferred the face-to-face feedback, and with each lesson on Adobe Animate, I understood further on what was to be expected of our final website.
Observations: Through observing real life examples, I learnt the importance of flowcharts and wireframes when building a website. By looking through my classmates work, I was able to confirm that my wireframe design was suitable and understand its purpose.
Findings: I found that consistent feedback and approval improved the clarity of my output. I found myself struggling with the flowchart as I didn't have many pages/ subpages and it felt one-dimensional.
