REFLECTIONS
Experience: This module deepened my
knowledge in typography. I found myself challenged with every new
assignment. I enjoyed this course, mainly task 2, which as an assignment
I had waited a long time to work on. I struggled the most with Task 3,
however I am quite fascinated with experimental work, and hope to be ore
successful with it in future. Overall, advanced typography was something
that sparked a lot of curiosity within me. I was more engaged in
classes, however found myself missing more classes this sem.
Observations: I observed that I tend
to finish my submissions on time, but procrastinate updating and
submitting on the e-portfolio, which is something I need to work on for
future modules. I observe that through past pupils work, I am able to
amend my work and better understand the brief and its standards. It is
through trial and error that work improves.
Findings: I found myself falling behind quite easily. Time management is
something I hope to work on, with every passing day, a small update in
work and e-portfolio simultaneously is enough. I found myself more
engaged in classes, however missing a lot of them. I found that further
reading benefits the quality of output, if practices, inspiration, and
techniques are applied. Lectures were good in understanding the basic
history and origin of typography and certain practices.
