Project 1 - Website Redesign Proposal
Develop a comprehensive proposal for the redesign of an existing website. The proposal should demonstrate your ability to critically evaluate a website’s design and functionality and to propose design solutions that enhance user experience, aesthetics, and performance.
Select an existing website thas several design and UX issue and prepare a detailed proposal for its redesign.

I went through many websites and gathered what I could about bad website design. I visited a site ranking bad web design and looked through each, studying them carefully.
I initially wanted to pick the Yale School of Art as I felt that it was the worst-designed one of all. The color schemes, text hierarchy, and typography are chaotic and displeasing to the eyes.
However, upon further inspection, I realized that this was done intentionally and ironically, and other students chose this website to be redesigned.
I decided to change my approach and try to redesign a website that was personal to me, and so I decided to pick a website I struggled with due to its design and navigation.
I chose Taylor's MyTimes, as I had personally faced many issues when using this website, and I found many of the design choices inconvenient and inconsistent.
I viewed them both on my desktop and phone. I studied the colour palette which were red, black, grey, and the simplistic typography and style.
I went through my Pinterest to find inspiration for a well-designed university e-learning platform to make comparisons with Taylor's MyTimes.
After coming to my conclusion, I decide to document the rest of my findings on my proposal.

I was happy with how it turned out and I felt that I covered all required topics with my own insights.
REFLECTIONS
Project 1 was something personal to me, as I have spent a lot of time wishing that Taylor's redesigned their e-learning platform as I faced many issues with lag, design complications, inconvenience, empty sections etc., and feel as though the students and staff don't utilize the site to its fullest potential due to its bad design. Taylor's MyTimes is a site that required a redesign so that the university didn't have to use a variety of different applications, and this assignment provided a vessel for me to showcase my ideas.
